Jakarta, April 2020 – As the world is facing an unprecedented and exceptional situation due to the global spread of COVID-19, Club Med, the leader premium all-inclusive resorts, is stepping in to help alleviate the impact the virus outbreak has on its community at Club Med Bali and Bintan.

As part of its efforts to assist the frontliners who have ceaselessly helped combatting COVID-19, Club Med has donated Food donation to Scholars of Sustenance Organization fighting against undernourishment redistributing food to people in need, also 1,000 units of N95 masks and 2,000 units of surgical masks to deliver in Bali, Jakarta and Bintan hospital.

Marie-Ange Georgin-Selman, Club Med Marketing & Omnichannel Sales Director South-East Asia, said: “As we are all staying safe at home, Club Med domestic resort in Indonesia Bali and Bintan is stepping up to provide support to Indonesian hospital staff for their contribution and hard work during this crucial time of need. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you”.

Club Med staff, or better known as gentile organizers (G.Os) also came together to provide home-made bread for medical staff on duty at the hospital.

Aside from its community, Club Med offers the opportunity to be able to keep in touch with their customers via family reconnection moments called “Club Med at Home”.

As families are confined to their homes during the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB), Club Med provides an array of fun and engaging activities for children and parents through a digital and social media campaign that encourages positivity through engaging activities, while playing our civic duty in maintaining social distancing.

Think delicious recipes for impressive family meals, time-efficient workouts, and even family-friendly activities that will keep your little ones entertained while learning valuable skills. From taking virtual holidays at Club Med’s sumptuous locales, to learning to cook their signature dishes, there is no better way to while away the time than with engaging content.

Club Med has also partnered with esteemed personalities and publications to enrich each day with meaningful content, including ideas to keep the kids entertained. Their commitment to bringing families together through these tumultuous times truly extend beyond their resort boundaries and into your homes.

With #ClubMedatHome, we are bringing a slice of Club Med love for our home to yours.

Marie-Ange adds: “Travel and tourism brands need to continue to maintain a line of communication with its guests to drive and build brand loyalty regardless of the environment. In times of uncertainty, it is important that we create open constant dialogues with our guests and continue to be agile and respond to consumers. It is the foundation to build trust and credibility”.

Club Med has taken a number of measures to limit the severe impact that this crisis will have in the short term and will be entirely available, as soon as the current health risks are no longer a concern, to organize the postponement of the planned stays or the future travel plans of customers, as well as the assignment of the teams, under the best possible conditions.

But for now, Club Med wishes all employees, partners, and everyone, the strength and courage in these particularly difficult times.
