More information about snow season in Asia...

Skiing might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of holidaying in Asia, but plenty of Asian mountains happen to be excellent for skiing. Since ski resorts in Asia also tend to be less well-known, you’ll enjoy the added bonus of shorter queues and calmer slopes.

Snow season in Asia is typically from mid-December until mid-April, although some areas have longer seasons.

Japan is known for having some of the best powder in the world, and the peak ski season there is from mid-December until mid-January during the holidays. If you want to avoid the crowds but still enjoy good weather and plenty of snow, February is usually a good month to visit.

Skiing in China recently received a big boost after the country won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. Mid-December until mid-March tend to be good skiing months with plenty of snow, and since skiing is still a relatively new recreational activity there, most ski resorts never really get overly busy.

If you’re thinking of skiing in Asia, an all-inclusive ski package that covers everything from accommodation and meals to lift passes and lessons can help you make the most of your time away and allow you to enjoy some of the best ski resorts in Asia.
