For flights that are booked through Club Med, tickets for children must be paid for by the client. †Medical Assistance Program: if you have booked your trip to Canada, it is automatically covered in case of COVID-19 by Europ Assistance worldwide, in accordance with Europ Assistance's medical decisions, and according to the general conditions of the insurance policy. Valid for all trips made until December 31, 2022. What is covered: In the event of an illness related to COVID-19, all medical expenses abroad are covered: medical expenses in the event of hospitalization, the medical visit and the COVID-19 test (within the contractual limit), transportation expenses to the laboratory for the administration of the test. In the event of hospitalization, coverage also includes: lodging expenses for accompanying persons, accompaniment of children, and medical evacuation if the condition and situation require it. In case of confinement of the positive G.M.: the assistance platform will also organize, in collaboration with the Village and the medical staff, the accommodation. Extension costs in the village are covered. If the G.M. has missed the scheduled flight: the assistance team will take care of and plan a new return flight according to the health conditions established by the medical team. Medical assistance in case of illness (including COVID-19) includes: Repatriation in case of illness and/or accident according to the decision of Europ Assistance's doctors, Advance and/or reimbursement of hospitalization expenses incurred abroad, up to a maximum of €75,000 (including tax) per beneficiary, Complementary reimbursement of outpatient medical expenses incurred abroad in case of suspicion and/or Covid-19 illness, up to a maximum of €500 (including tax) per beneficiary, Hotel stay extension expenses : 120 € incl. tax night/person and 250 € incl. tax/night for a family 10 nights or 14 nights maximum in case of suspicion or disease Covid-19, Repatriation of mortal remains in case of death. What is not covered: The consequences of global situations of COVID in the country where the Village is located, such as: Border closure: by region/by city/airport closure/flight cancellation/closure of the Village...Interruption of stay: as a result of the declaration of a State of Health Emergency. Quarantine: at destination, without being ill. A certificate of insurance confirming coverage for medical expenses in the event of illness, including COVID-19, may be provided upon request for entry into a country or to obtain a travel visa. The present Assistance Agreement constitutes an extract of the general conditions of the contract concluded between EUROP ASSISTANCE, a company governed by the French Insurance Code, and CLUB MEDITERRANEE, on behalf of its clients. It specifies the content and the limits of the services that will be provided by EUROP ASSISTANCE to CLUB MEDITERRANEE's customers. Assistance is provided by EUROP ASSISTANCE and not by Club Med®. Any registration with Club Med®, or through a travel agent, entitles the G.M® to EUROP ASSISTANCE services, which cover personal assistance. Applicable only to Canadian members (G.Ms®) who are Canadian residents and have booked and paid for the trip in Canada. This coverage supersedes all previously issued coverage and is subject to change without notice.
