More Information About European Alps...

Why the European Alps Are Paradise for Ski Lovers

Skiing is a deep rooted culture in the European Alps, as it was used as a means of transportation hundreds of years before it became the recreational activity it is today.

With this in mind, if you’re looking to experience a classic ski holiday complete with quaint medieval villages and luxurious mountaintop chalets, the Alps should be high on your list.

The European Alps are known for having some of the best ski terrain in the world, with well-groomed pistes and steep slopes that boast extremely varied terrain. Of course, there’s plenty of terrain suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers as well, and most ski resorts in Alps also have ski schools with lessons to suit every skill level.

Aside from incredible ski terrain, ski resorts in the Alps are also known for their stunning views, world-class dining and a unique après-ski experience. What more could you ask for?

Best Time to Ski and Enjoy Winter Sports in the Alps

If you’re hoping to enjoy a ski or winter sport holiday in the Alps, it’s important to time your visit right. Although the ski season can start as early as November and last until the end of April, the best time for guaranteed snow in Alps tends to be February or March.

Another excellent time of year for skiing in the Alps is around Christmas and New Year during the Singaporean school holidays. So if you want to experience an unforgettable white Christmas in the Alps, be sure to book your flights and accommodation well in advance.

Visiting later in the ski season can be great too, though, as the days will be longer and likely sunnier which means you’ll have more time to enjoy the slopes.
