Paradise for relaxed skiing

For those who prefer calm and relaxed skiing, Valmorel is the perfect gentle resort with more than 25 green runs and 40 blue runs. At the foot of the resort, exclusive Club Med areas welcome children and beginner adults. The resort is home to the Pirates play areas, specially designed for the youngest. Snowpark or pirates' route, your children can ski between gates and turnstiles or hurtle around turns and banked bends with whoops of joy. For the older children, nothing beats a trip at their own pace in the Evolution areas or lower down between the fir trees!

The Col de la Madeleine

Want to push your limits, to cross mountains ? Ski on the Col de la Madeleine at 1993 m above sea level (blue run), mythical crossing point between the Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys. From this pass in the heart of Savoy, a spectacular panorama of Mont Blanc, the Aiguilles d'Arves and the Etendard glacier emerges. Then take in the runs of this grandiose space and its variety of landscapes between fir trees and high mountains.

Savoyard lifestyle

Head to the resort located a few minutes away and discover the charming village of Valmorel. Cross the Bourg, a stall-lined pedestrian hamlet, and indulge yourself in its cosy atmosphere. Over your head, garlands of lights illuminate the dark wood facades of the cottages. Warm up with a glass of mulled wine (1) or alpine herbal tea, accompanied by a Beaufort sausage. Nature trip

The hiking club (à la carte) is a fabulous way to discover the large region and its true and wild natural areas. On snowshoes, Nordic walking or hiking, follow your passionate guide! A native of the valley, your guide will tell you about the secrets of Savoy, the life of alpine pastures and the sound of cowbells. Search out ancestral farms along the wooded slopes of the mountain, or follow in the footsteps of local wildlife.

A gourmet experience at La Laiterie

Walk through the doors of the Gourmet Lounge La Laiterie, whose atmosphere is inspired by the many farms still in operation in the valley, and enter a cosy atmosphere perfect for sharing with the family. Those who like a lazy morning can savour a white cheese made with regional blueberries, and ski enthusiasts can sit down later to enjoy a mountain burger. Table service of course! Authentic milk pots and wooden tables await you on this terrace perched between the lauze stone roofs.
